A clear picture of where your sourcing actually depends

Understand, in plain figures, how much of your spend rests on a small number of suppliers — and what stands ready if one falters.

A settled answer to an unsettled question

The report sets out which suppliers your company depends on most, which components have no ready alternative in the records, and where a substitution could plausibly be arranged. That knowledge tends to sit more comfortably than uncertainty, even when the finding itself is not surprising.

When nobody can say exactly how exposed you are

It is common for a company to sense, in a general way, that one or two suppliers matter more than the rest — without anyone having actually totalled the spend or checked whether an alternative source exists. That gap between impression and fact is not a failing; it simply reflects how purchasing decisions accumulate over time, made individually rather than reviewed as a whole.

Reading your purchasing records line by line

We work through your purchasing records to total spend by supplier and set the proportions out plainly, then examine which components are sourced from only one supplier. Where a single-source component is found, we look into whether a realistic substitution is available — not as a recommendation to switch, but as information you did not previously have to hand.

What working with us looks like

Once records are shared, the work proceeds largely on our side, with occasional short questions if a figure needs clarifying. There is no requirement for lengthy meetings or ongoing check-ins. You will hear from us at the outset to confirm scope, and again when the report is ready.

Ref. OFR1-006 / Fee

¥27,000 for the complete review

The fee covers the full three-week scope, from receipt of purchasing records to delivery of the written report.

Fees are in Japanese yen and exclude consumption tax. The report is informational: it does not promise lower costs, a change of supplier or any particular result, and the decision on what to do with it stays with you.

Included

  • Concentration table showing spend by supplier
  • Identification of single-source components
  • Note on substitutions found to be available
  • Written summary suitable for internal circulation

How the reading is put together

Every figure in the concentration table traces back to a purchasing record; nothing is estimated. Progress is measured simply — records received, lines reconciled, report drafted — and the three-week scope reflects the time this typically takes for a company purchasing from twenty or more suppliers. Larger supplier lists may need a slightly longer window, which we confirm before starting.

Ref. OFR1-008 / Before You Commit

A conversation first, always without cost

Before any fee applies, we are glad to talk through whether this review suits your situation. If, partway through, the records suggest a different scope would serve you better, we raise that with you before continuing rather than after.

Getting started is a short message away

Write to us with a note about your supplier list — roughly how many suppliers, and what prompts your interest in the review. We will reply with a proposed scope and timeframe for your confirmation before anything begins.
